Medicare and Medicaid Cost Report Software – Necessary Edits!

Does your Medicare software include edits?

Edits are checks to verify that the data you entered into your Medicare cost report software is accurate. While there are a number of edits provided depending on the provider (first-level edits are mandatory), I would like to highlight some of the important Skilled Nursing Facility edits.

1080: The total must equal the parts
1085: All standard cost center codes must be entered on the standard cost center lines/subscripts
1090: A numeric field should not exceed more than 11 positions
